Here's one of the first photos from our recent trip to North Carolina for our niece's wedding.  One would think it'd be of the bride and groom, but it isn't.

It's of my husband, "the Baby Whisperer," holding our great niece, Mea, who we met for the first time this weekend.  While I can do okay with a baby, he's a master with them, and has earned his title with good reason.  If there's a crying baby at a family affair, you have to track Dave down, because he'll get that baby calmed in a heartbeat.

Some day, I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
